授業の概要
This course is for second year students and above. There are no specific requirements for taking this course.
Students will have opportunities to better their vocabulary and grammar skills along with practicing pronunciation through class activities.

Students taking this class are encouraged to have a positive attitude towards working closely with group peers and to not be afraid of making mistakes in conversation. In addition to the textbook, authentic video activities and news story readings will sometimes be used. Students are expected to attend regularly, participate in group work, and enjoy building listening and speaking skills in English. After taking this course, we hope that students will look forward to using everything they learned in real life. 
この科目の到達目標
In this course, students will
・gain confidence in their English speaking and listening abilities.
・be able to use basic English skills in group discussions.
・improve their English spoken fluency. 
成績評価の方法
評価は以下の項目において行う 
①授業の出席率、②授業外学習、③発表（30点）、④2回の小テストの合計得点（30点） *参画度が低い場合は、C評価となる場合もある。 
Ｓ評価   次のすべてを満たす場合   ①14 回 (100％)、②90％以上、③27点以上、④合計24点以上。これに加え、授業へ主体的に参画していること。 
Ａ評価   次のすべてを満たす場合   ①12回（85％）以上、②80％以上、③24点以上、④合計20点以上。これに加え、課題の完成度が 標準以上と評価できること。 
Ｂ評価   次のすべてを満たす場合   ①10 回（70％）以上、②60％以上、③21点以上、④合計16点以上 
Ｆ評価   次のいずれかに当たる場合   ①5回以上の授業欠席、②60％未満、③0点かつ ④が合計16 点未満 
※授業への積極的参加が最も重要。
